The image of the butterfly used for this verse is extremely apt to me, because the butterfly is supposed to struggle on its way out of the cocoon, or its wings won't fill with fluid. Similarly, many of us may feel that at times we're going through something, and God doesn't give an answer straight away, or not the answer we want. The answer in these cases is most likely that we, like the butterfly, are meant to struggle and build our wings, and the process though sometimes painful will result in something truly beautiful, something only our Creator can envision and imagine, that we can't while we're going through our metamorphosis.

2 Corinthians 5:17

  • "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!"
